CAPDA and COVID

The COVID pandemic has multiplied the challenges faced by CAPDA’s disability partners in Tanzania. International aid has diminished, their economy has suffered, and so has the health of many of their most vulnerable people.

We have been unable to make our usual visits and, like many other development agencies, we moved to working remotely. But there is nothing like being there in person!

In February 2022, after a two year absence, Dana, an American physiotherapist visited most of our local partner agencies, to work alongside the therapists and Community Health Workers.

These selfies show Dana with therapists from two of our partner organisations. They shared an afternoon, sharing and learning from each other and therapy challenges they face.

Prior to Dana’s visit our local representative Sara, facilitated remote learning sessions with therapists.
