A team effort

Community Rehabilitation workers

Caring for a child with a disability is a team effort!

Here a therapist from one of our partners, CCBRT, introduces new skills to Community Rehabilitation Workers (CRWs) while the caregiver looks on at a workshop funded by CAPDA.  A home program is developed for each child. CRWs and medical attendants support the home program in the village and/or clinic setting.

There are many fewer therapists than needed in Tanzania. Therapists work directly in the community, and through the CRWs and medical attendants, to support the many children in need.

We all desire the best outcome for each child. Ongoing development of skills in those caring for the child is therefore a priority.
